Good bye January…… happy to see you go!

It’s been snowing, it’s cold and I am not amused!

So I have been hand stitching….

….and planning some workshops for that happy time when it is Warm, Light, Green instead of white, dark and cold.

This is my latest obsession – Liberty fabric cut and sewn very precisely. It has taken me by surprise – as i don’t think this is my usual colourful immediate style, but I have enjoyed it. IMG_1769

Workshops then. I have a plan to offer a three day workshop – spread over a few weeks – to teach a complete beginners course in quilting making. Everything you need to know to complete a quilt from start to finish.

I will limit students to six to ensure lots of individual attention, and at present it looks like it will be on Sundays at Leazes House at Ayle near Alston. I have three students at present so if you would like to join us – please email me to express interest and then I’ll add you to the ‘interested’ list!

YAY!

Also, people want to make books – of course they do! I am teaching the journal workshop at Langley, near Hexham in a few days time, I’m happy to do this again if you are interested – four students only for this one please.

Looking forward to hearing from all you quilt makers and book binders! kate@katejacksontextiles.com
