September, the season of mists etc

As the year turns, thoughts shift to autumn days and winter evenings….

….. and the joy of spending time with colour and textiles, paper and glue to offset the grey and dark days ahead.

It is the same every year, leading up to the hour disappearing from our evening and the dark descending ever more quickly, there are plans to MAKE and DO to fill the days when the garden is asleep or too wet to stay in for long.

This year, I will be packing up more of my vintage treats and treasures for the Vintage Fair in Hexham on October 4th – last March I sold everything I took so turn up early to avoid disappointment! I will have lace and buttons and fabric bundles and knitting needles and all sorts of lovely things!

And I don’t think it;s too early to think about Christmas is it? I am making a special bunch of things to tempt you at the Hearth Winter Sale – I’ll post more about that a bit nearer the time – for now, forget about Christmas for a bit and enjoy collecting apples and brambles and making pies and crumbles! Then invite me for supper!

Take care
